"Disappearing into Mission"

Family Missions 2019 at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands, TX.

Holy Week Missions is an evangelization project that transforms the lives of missionaries, families, and the people whom we serve. It’s an amazing experience where missionaries bring the message of Christ to the world during the most sacred weeks of our Catholic Church; Holy Week and Easter Week. In fact, this year, we will have over 1000 missionaries in eight different dioceses throughout the United States performing wonderful works of mercy.

WHERE:

We will meet at Activity Center (gym) at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church on all three days located at 26777 Glen Loch Dr, Spring, TX 77381. This year, you will have the opportunity to participate in 4 different types of missions:

Mercy Missions (service projects): SSJ will be coordinating different visits to Loaves and Fishes to give out shoes and socks to the less fortunate.

Door to door missions: visiting houses around our parish and invite everuone to come to Sts. Simon and Jude for our Holy Triduum and Easter liturgies including mass in Spanish. We are assigned areas around the church and teams are formed with both experienced and new missionaries. On Saturday afternoon, we will travel to the Woodlands Waterway and carry the cross while collecting prayer intentions all the way to the park next to the Cynthia Woods-Mitchell Pavilion.

Prayer Warriors Mission: One of the most important duties in our mission. There are missionaries that pray for us while we do the Mercy and Door to Door Missions. This part of the mission is guided by the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi and will be in the main church. You are part of the mission and we need as many prayers as possible!

High School Missions: We will have two groups of High School Boys and Girls that will be lead by adults and priests and consecrated ladies. They will combine Mercy Missions with Door to Door Missions and will have different talks especifically for the youth. We will join the rest of the Missionaries on Saturday afternoon for the Waterway activity in The Woodlands. High School Missionaries are required to sign into groups at the following link: Click HERE..
