Holy Week Missions is an evangelization project that transforms the lives of missionaries, families, and the people whom we serve. It’s an amazing experience were missionaries bring the message of Christ to the world during the most sacred weeks of our Catholic Church; Holy Week and Easter Week. In fact, here is a map where missions will be held in the USA.

Detailed Information about our MERCY MISSION:

WHEN:

Friday April 14th from 8am until 6pm
Saturday April 15th 2016 from 8am until 5pm

WHERE:

We will meet at St. John Paul II Catholic School on both days: 1400 Parkway Plaza Dr. Houston, TX. 77077
Some of the centers we will visit are named below:

  • Sheltering Arms Day Center
  • Mission Yahweh
  • Comfort Care Houses
  • Loaves and Fishes
  • The Beacon
  • Park Youth Ranch
  • Star of Hope (multiple centers)
  • Garden Terrace Nursing Home
  • San Francisco Nativity Academy Home
  • Baker Ripley Center

WHO:

Families are WELCOME! Children are allowed to serve in the mission. Please be aware that we will assign your family according to the age of your children. Some centers have age restrictions for volunteers and we have to follow their rules.
NO BABYSITTING is provided, if you bring your children, you have to serve and be responsible for them

How much:

$40dlrs per adult
$20 dlrs per child
This includes a T-Shirt, a cross, both lunches for Friday and Saturday and dinner on Saturday evening on most centers

Transport:

Missionaries are expected to provide their own transportation
We will assigns your family to a depending on the location to serve. Carpooling is encouraged

Friday:

0800 Registration St. John Paul II Catholic Church
0900 Registration finishes, missionaries are sent to the community
1000 Project begins
1200 Lunch
1300 Continue on project
1500 Prayer service
1600 Project work
1730 Dinner at  some locations
1800 Mission finishes everyone is dismissed to go to their homes

Saturday:

0800 Registration St. John Paul II Catholic Church
0900 Registration finishes, missionaries are sent to the community
1000 Project begins
1200 Lunch
1300 Continue on project
1530 Mission finishes, drive back to JP2
1600 Dinner and testimonies
1700 Mission finishes

Registration will close either on Friday  March 31st, 2017 or  when  we fill up our volunteer spaces .  We are taking  150 missionaries.  So HURRY UP and sign up!
