MIssion Youth Mission 2015 at St. Anne's Catholic Community in Tomball, TX for youth and young professionals over 18 yrs.
Holy Week Missions are an evangelization project of Mission Youth to serve bishops and parish priests across the United States. Holy Week Missions are a transforming experience which seeks to bring the message of Christ to the world.
Lodging:
The guys will be staying with host families. The ladies will be staying with families of the parish in groups of two and three. Everyone should bring your sleeping bags and sleeping mats if you have one. You will probably be sleeping on a hard floor especially the guys.
Transportation:
During the two days of missions there will be 4 outings in all to trailer parks between 15-20 minutes from parish. For these outings you will have to provide your own transportation.
Food:
You do not need to worry about bringing any food. If you personally need extra snacks outside the three main meals of the day you can bring them. Remember Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence in the Catholic Church.
Cost:
50 dollars which includes insurance, food, lodging, mission t-shirt, mission cross, mission – bag, prayer manual, etc…
Manual Labor:
There is an hour each day in which we will help with some aspect of the cleaning or preparation for the Liturgical services of the parish.
Age:
All missionaries must have turned 18 years of age and complete the permission form available here.
Group:
We have 25 spots. So sign up as soon as you can if you are interested in coming.
Language:
English and Spanish. When we divide up the groups for the door to door mission, we will try to put a person who speaks Spanish in your group.
